Go to the Firewall tab to see what applications have accessed the Internet and block any that are suspicious, violating your privacy, or wasting your bandwidth. Unfortunately, the traffic seems to be have disappeared at the moment. GlassWire reported the new connection, and quickly came back with VirusTotal's rating, 55/67. Windows firewall enabled and malware scans are clean. GlassWire’s Android app does not ever access the network and has no suspicious host feature. I also tried Netbalancer but it does not provide a helpful descrption aside from "service traffic". GlassWire can block itself from accessing the network, however if you do so then you may not know about important software updates and GlassWire may not alert you if you connect to a suspicious host. I attempted to shut off anything that may be causing the connections (VPN, AV, etc). GlassWire also has an Application Info Monitor that can tell you if a version, publisher, certificate, or executable of an application has changed. During monitoring, you will be able to see, in addition to the name of each of the running services, the host to which it is trying to connect and the type of. It will also notify you if an application ever initiates a connection to a suspicious host. I am running a fresh install of Windows 10 with all the privacy measures implemented that I could find. I am starting to realize that Windows 10 will always phone home no matter what settings you change, but I am concerned when system processes are communicating to unidentified foreign ip addresses.
